Isle of Harris photography workshop 2019
Last year’s Isle of Harris photography workshop was a great success – with 5 participants staying close to Scarista beach and within minutes from stunning scenes on Luskentyre, Seilebost, Northton and Hushinish. I spend about a third of my year on the Isle of Harris so it is like a second home to me and my passion for it never fails.
Being able to take photographers over to this incredible place is a real pleasure and showing them great locations and vantage points and helping them develop is something I just adore. Everyone on the retreat came away happy and had learnt so much – we spent days out on beaches and walking over hills to viewpoints such as the ruined chapel at Northton and the secret beach at Hushinish.
The list of locations on the Isle of Harris is endless. Around each corner is another fabulous scene, no matter what the weather. I have just created a new workshop which will run in November 2019 and we will be staying again right on the edge of Scarista beach, in two luxurious cottages overlooking the beach. Single accommodation and all en suite in contemporary luxury.
Last year’s workshop has just been reviewed by Gillian Furmage from the Sunday Times and appeared as a double spread feature recently! It was so lovely to have an all-round excellent review – from teaching to food to accommodation. All my retreats are put together with incredible care and attention!
