Scottish Highlands Photography Workshop

Our base for the Scottish Highlands Photography workshop will be Drumnadrochit. This spot is ideal for accessing many areas in the Highlands that come into their own at this time of year.

You will be responsible for booking your own accommodation and paying for your own dinner for the duration of the weekend. Once workshop bookings have been fulfilled, we will inform you which hotels are available for booking to allow us all to stay together if you choose. The accommodation will be based in Drumnadrochit to ensure quick and easy access to Glen Affric and Loch Ness.

On the Friday night, an introductory dinner will be arranged. This will be followed by inspirational talks by Margaret and Kim to help inspire you for the weekend ahead. You do not have to attend this but it will be a great chance for us all to meet and get to know each other. Lunch is included for Saturday and Sunday. These will be at local cafes or organised as packed lunches.

Glen Affric is a dense pinewood forest, thick with mysterious air and photogenic opportunities, accompanied by the Loch Beinn a’Mheadhain. Described as the finest and most beautiful of all Scotland’s glens, a mystical mix of lochs, moorlands, and native pinewoods.

Loch Ness is fantastic for landscape photography. From the famous Urquhart Castle to its’ many lochside spots. From Invermoriston Bridge, the Pier at Dores, Fort Augustus with its views right down the Loch to the mighty Falls of Foyers.
